Michigan Engineers garner tremendous achievements both in and out of the classroom during their academic career. The College of Engineering is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic work, leadership experiences and in service to others.

The 2018 Elaine Harden Student Organization Award is now open. Presented to the Engineering student organization that best exemplifies dedicated leadership and service to the community. Organizations must be part of Michigan Engineering to be eligible for consideration. Start your application here.
The 2018 Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award is now open. Presented to recognize the efforts of student organization advisors. This award is presented annually to honor the leadership, guidance, and support advisors provide to student groups on campus. Please start your application here.
Some awards may require a personal statement. We encourage applicants to keep their personal statements to 1-1.5 pages.

Beyond University awards and honors, the College offers multiple opportunities for student recognition. The College Awards and Prizes nomination process opens in November and culminates in the annual Student Leaders and Honors Brunch in March. The Roger M. Jones Fellowship and Poetry Contests are announced in late fall semester and selected during the winter. The Technical Communications department hosts writing contests each winter. And at the conclusion of each semester, the Dean’s List is published to celebrate undergraduate academic achievements.
